It is so easy to forget about some of the wonderful sights that are available to us here but, occasionally, we get a reminder. One such came to me yesterday as I was languishing in yet another pool of pain as my head decided that it wanted a life of its’ own and tried to part company with my body.
I was lying on the floor, trying to recover some composure, when I caught the sight of the mills on the Gibralgalia ridge (about 25 kms away) being lit by the rising sun. 99% of the time, these windmills cannot be seen but, for just a very short while, some mornings, the rising sun is reflected off them.
Since my video camara was ready to go, I managed to film about three minutes but missed the time when the mills became invisible by about 50 seconds. A little bit of Ivan Rebroff to add flavour and here, I hope, is a pleasant little interlude for you to enjoy.

It isn’t always appreciated how much difference a little rain can make to the simple little pleasures of life.
Low cloud over Alhaurin el Grande
The picture above shows how the low lying clouds can add beauty to a scene that has become dull and familiar through the hot, dry, summer.
On a clear day you can see for ever
This picture demonstrates how the views are enhanced as the texture of the distant mountains are revealed by the clearer air.
Goats on Sierra Gorda
While this picture shows one of the more bucolic scenes of a small herd of goats, each making its own music with the bell around its neck. I suppose they are enjoying the juicy morsels offered up as the shrubs start in with their new growth. This used to be a common sight to enjoy but, like so much of our traditional treasure, is slowly disappearing.
I hope these little snap shots will bring you a little pleasure and encourage you to go see the sights while they are still there to be seen.
